| Abstract: |
| The classification of surfactants was briefly introduced. The structure and properties of four types of anionic surfactants, i.e. carboxylates, sulfonates, sulfates, and phosphates, which were frequently applied in leather process, were reviewed. The applications of anionic surfactants in leather processing were summarized, including soaking, degreasing, unhairing and deliming, dyeing, fatliquoring and finishing. |
