| The current status of development of cationic surfactants and its application in leather industry were introduced. The classification and properties of cationic surfactants were described in detail, and the applications of cationic surfactants in leather process were summarized, including soaking, pickling, tanning, retanning, dyeing, fat liquoring and finishing. |
