| Abstract: |
| The principles of sub-step in vitro evaluation methods for skin whitening materials have been introduced. The biological forming process and the internal and external influence factors of complexion have been analyzed. Six steps of in vitro evaluation methods and the specific applications including sunscreen, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, key enzyme inhibition, melanin synthesis inhibition, melanin transport inhibition and corneum stripping are emphasized. The importance of multi-cellular interaction model has been discussed. Finally, the weight-on-evidence and selection principles of different in vitro methods have been summarized. |
